"After a hopelessly failed attempt (by an agent other than B&P) to sell my beautifully renovated property, I contacted Robyn Buick at B&P to see if she could rent it for me. Prior to the renovation I was receiving $420 pw for a respectable 2 b/r unit. I converted the unit to a large one bedder and Robyn suggested $575 pw. Brenton Gadsby sold my house on Nickson Street in Surry Hills in July. It was not the easiest house to sell, and not the easiest market either, but Brenton persisted - he understood we were doing a tree-change. I believe his commitment and determination were key to getting the house sold, and his upbeat professional manner made it so easy to work with him. He was punctual on inspection days and gave regular updates. During the quiet period, he still called anyway to let me know that nothing was happening, and that he was working on making something happen. As a client, I thought that was reassuring. As a professional, I understood that it took guts and a lot of hard work to commit to making something happen in a soft and skittish market.

I am glad he came knocking on my door that day. I thought you should know he was the only agent who actually cold-called by appearing in person after my house was passed in, the other agencies simply sent generic letters and brochures with nil follow-up.  It re-started my tree-change adventure. We will be moving to Maleny in the Sunshine Coast hinterland later this month, and he played a part in making that dream happen. I would recommend Brenton as an agent to my friends and family any day, I thought you should know that too.

Appointing an agent is always a challenge, and in my experience a risky business with very little margin for error.  I was well aware that the limited buyer-niche that my property would appeal to, combined with deteriorating market conditions would make for a difficult and complicated process. As it turned out, appointing you was the very best decision I could have made.  Your advice was always positive but realistic.  And the style and substance of your communication with me was always spot-on.  I was kept fully informed, but not swamped by unnecessary detail.

I never had any doubt that your loyalties were with me as the seller. While you established good relationships with potential buyers, I was always confident that you were promoting and protecting my best interests:during the campaign, during negotiations, completing the transaction, and keeping everything on track while waiting for settlement.  Your attention remained constant during every phase of the process.  And I especially appreciated that you continued to represent me after the transaction had completed, and our agency agreement had technically come to an end. Taking care of the several issues on my behalf that arose after completion simplified what could have been a difficult period for me.  I'm sure the buyer appreciated it too.

As we had to put our property for sale in very challenging market conditions of early 2011, naturally we were very nervous and worried about future sale prospects. From our initial consultation Anthony Puntigam was optimistic and stated that the sale of the property at an appropriate price was achievable.

I wanted to write a note to highlight the efforts of your property manager, Kylie Gardner.  I have rented properties for almost 20 years across Brisbane and Sydney, and I have to say that Kylie is one of the best I have ever dealt with.

After agreeing to sell, the very next day the team was in the apartment taking the necessary photographs, compiling the editorial for the campaign and advising on any repairs / improvements to enhance the appearance of the property to prospects. It was very apparent from the outset that the team fully understood the features that would ultimately sell the property. These were well emphasised in the advertising campaign and the exposure was maximised through an efficient media strategy. Throughout the sales process, we were constantly contacted on progress. After each “open for inspection” one of the team would call us with feedback on attendance and prospective purchasers. In addition, they would update us regularly on developments in terms of enquiries from, or changes to the circumstances pertaining to existing prospective purchasers. We had several pre-auction offers, which were immediately communicated to us. Regardless of the fact that the offers were unacceptable to us, it was comfortable to receive feedback of interested parties. The advice we received going into the auction was also invaluable. Bob and Anthony were right on the mark in terms of the parties that would be bidding. They were also extremely thorough in explaining the process and preparing us for the decisions we would inevitably need to make on the night. As an added service, which we view as way beyond the requirements of the agreement, the team were very helpful in providing us with information regarding strategy around our purchase of a new apartment.
